Muir woods/Point Bonita
 

Do you have any recommendations for a tour to Muir woods and the lighthouse Point Bonita? I have looked at videos from that area and don't think we could do the drive to that area due to the roads.

It really isn't that difficult a drive, lots of tourists manage it without trouble. I know of no tour that goes to both Muir Woods and Point Bonita, in fact other than tours of Point Bonita, I don't think there are tours to Point Bonita.

We did not go to Point Bonita but the drive to Muir Woods was no problem.

Point Bonita is in the Marin Headlands at the far western edge of the Golden Gate. There is currently road construction in that area but you should be able to get to the trailhead.

The trail, however, is open only a few hours per week and the lighthouse itself is closed until next Spring.

Road construction or not, I can't imagine any tours would take you to point Bonita.

It isn't a tour bus sort of place. . .
