Muir Woods - food question
 

On the website they have a cafe - this site is not accessible, probably out of business? Anybody been there in 2010? Is there any food?

On Muir Woods website - picnics are not allowed. I remember there was something like a hot dog stand - is it still open?

They have a decent cafeteria type facility.

We bought hot dogs and hot chocolate there about a year ago. I think they don't have picnic tables, but I think you can have an impromptu picnic wherever you want. Pack a sandwich and hike in for a mile or two and then sit down and enjoy it. At least, I think this is allowed.

well after reading their website, not sure about it. I would just call them and ask. I do know that they have a little food, drinks, coffee, and ice cream.

Yeah, I called. Came back to post. A nice voice told me, the cafe is under a new management, this may be the reason their website is not working. They open every day same hours as park.

I will post more after this weekend.
