Don't know what kind of info you want. But if you go, go early in the day. There's not a lot of parking and you will end up with a long walk to see the trees.

Assume you will have car. Muir Woods is in Marin County just north after Golden Gate Bridge (an experience itself!) Turn-off is about 10 min after getting off bridge. There's good signage. Allow 3-4 hrs. Any ques. plz email me. I live near there.

Muir Woods is one of my definite MUST stops when in the SF/Bay area. Definitely worth a few hours of your time. It is one of the most peaceful places on the planet.

Enjoy!!!

Muir Woods is wonderful and there is a small restaurant/B&B there for a nice meal.

Also look into the nesting area for the giant herrons, also in that area, you actually walk up into the valley so you are looking into the tree tops to see the birds and there are hundreds of them. Really worth your time also if you like animals.

Anne
My family and I just visited Muir Woods 3 weeks ago. The Redwoods were something else. We'd never seen any trees that big. Be sure and dress warmly and wear comfy shoes with good traction. We spent a couple hours just walking the main loop. We went in the late afternoon and had the trail almost to ourselves. Have Fun
