Mt. Hood Skibowl Summer Adventure Park

Has anybody visited the Mt. Hood Ski Bowl Summer Adventure Park in Oregon? I'm particularly interested in the alpine slide, the scenic chair lifts and the Indy karts.

It's been several years, but yes. The Alpine Slide was the biggest hit with the kids (and me). Rode the chair lifts too, more for the ride than anything. Others were using it to transport themselves and their mountain bikes up the hill. Didn't do the Indy Karts since we have some better within a couple miles of where we live.

Was there anything in particular you wanted to know?

I was just looking for general impressions, comments or tips. For the alpine slide, I just watched a video and was surprised that they send riders off so closely together! The website says you can go as fast or slow as you want, but that must not work out so well with the short spacing between riders.

That always happens on those slides/luge rides. People do crash, have to go slow due to slowpokes in front, etc.

Ahh... okay. In general, it's a fun way to spend a couple hours, but I wouldn't go out of my way. And I don't; we live less than 1.5 hours away. Facilities look like they could use some maintainance, including just some basic cleaning. Which is hard to keep up when it's hot and dusty. Activities are divided into two areas, almost forcing you to stick together. You should be getting the general idea......

But that spacing on the Alpine Slide was probably just for the video, because I don't remember it being more than an occasional annoyance.
