Mt. Hood in July
Hi all. In mid-July, will we regret staying in a hotel without air-conditioning? We are staying in Government Lodge. Thanks.

Hi karens,
Do you mean Government Camp or Timberline Lodge? You might regret it. Government Camp is at about 4,000' or so. It will get cool at night most likely, but it has been known to get toasty during the day. Up at Timberline you should be ok at night. However, given our weather this year, you may need firewood to keep warm!!:) Very hard to predict, I am guessing you will be ok - I'm a native. |
Sorry, I meant Government Lodge.

Darn! I did it again, I meant Government Camp!

If your room faces west, and the day is sunny, it may take a while for it to cool down.
We don't stay in Government Camp. We stay at the Best Western in Hood River with a deck on the Columbia and drive to Mt. Hood via extremely scenic Highway 35. We never regret it. HTTY |
you'll be fine unless there is a heat wave.
it isn't really humid out here so even if it is a warm day, you're generally good. And the nights in the mountains are ALWAYS cool so unless you're spending all day in your room you will be absolutely fine. |
