150k home in Collin Co Tx, 3k a year in taxes.
No income tax, no tax on food.
It all works out to be the same, I think.

Hey, P_M and Kopp, I don't actually live in Austin; I'm a Houstonian, but I do get a chance to visit there quite a bit - have 4 good friends from school that live there and one in New Braunfels. I do love Austin though, and if any spot can be held up as a great place with public recreational opportunites, it's Austin. Craving Chuy's and the Oasis as we speak. :) And thanks for posting the article; I enjoyed reading it.

So, subzero, did you ever find out what the taxes would be?
