Moving cross country... help?

On January 24th a little over two weeks my boyfriend and I will be driving from Terre Haute, IN to Beaumont, TX via I70, I57, I55, and us 165. Can I get any suggestions on safe clean places to stop to catch a few winks in the car, reasonably priced food establishments, places to avoid or any real bad construction/Traffic areas any help or advice would be helpful. Thank you so much in advance.

Research Batesville MS. It's about an hour past Memphis on I-55.
Taking US 165 saves about 15 miles but takes at least 20 minutes longer. I'd stick with I-55 all the way to I-12 west to tie in with I-10.

Sort of hard to say where you'd like to catch a nap. Are you driving straight through, switching drivers?

Most Walmarts (although not all) allow "boondocking", which is allowing RVers to park overnight in the parking lots. Your trip is 13 hours so if you just need a place to catch a short nap, maybe Walmart of Cracker Barrel or a McD's would work for you. If you wanted to spend the night, I'd suggesting checking into a KOA - even if you don't set up a tent. You'll have a safe place to sleep, bathrooms nearby and a place for a hot shower in the morning.

Yes we are driving straight through with two vehicles to get there we don't have the luxury of switching off we have to be there Monday morning to sign the lease so we will more than likely leave late Saturday night to avoid traffic n stop and nap in the car during the day so it's easier to stay warm and a little safer and yes starrs thank you for the Walmart suggestion I have heard that before n it hadn't even crossed my mind they are populated and have huge parking lots and they have one in pretty much every populated town good suggestion thanks a lot guys
