Movie about New York
Does anoyone know any movie about <BR>New York? Because I wanna introduce <BR>New York, I need some visual aids. <BR>or is there any suggestion about what <BR>to notice in New York? Thanks...

Almost every Woody Allen movie. Also, "You've Got Mail," "When Harry Met Sally," "An Affair to Remember" (both versions). And, of course, that old MGM musical "On The Town," starring Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra, which was actually filmed on the streets of NYC. <BR>Plus, dozens (hundreds?) of others that I can't think of at the moment.

If you recall the beginning of West Side Story, there was an aerial trip across the Manhattan skyline ... but that's a bit dated I would think. But what about the opening scenes of TV's "Law and Order" ... that's a horizontal view. Or you may be able to meld shots from "NYPD Blue" ... or "Sea Of Love" ... or a real oldies "Naked City" (... there are eight million stories ...). Or why not contact the NYC film board which arranges for films to be shot all over the city. They might have a few rushes or out-takes you could borrow. What you really need is a Manhattan version of "Vertigo" ... silent shots of SF (with some music) as Stewart trailed Novak across the City by the Bay. Ciao

Careful, careful! <BR> <BR>There's something called "copyright laws" and you don't want to start the video/film version of Napster, do'ya?

I am not sure I understand...you want to "introduce" NY? To whom? And what to notice in NY? That is pretty open ended as well. Maybe a few more specifics about what you are looking for...
I have no idea what's going on - but for best Manhattan shots, it has to be the beginning of Woody Allen's Manhattan. Gershwin plus architecture = fabulous.
If you want to see what it's like to be a young, native New Yorker watch the movie "Kids." Hope it doesn't discourage you from visiting NYC.
How about that scene in "Goodfellas" when Tommy thinks he is being made in the family, but instead gets whacked in a basement office? REALLY shows off the New York drainage system.
Taxi Driver. You talking to me?
Coming to America. <BR>"This shitty enough for you?"
I second Woody Allen's Manhattan. And how about Fame?
Ghostbusters. Marshmellow Man walking thru streets. <BR> <BR>"Next time someone asks if you are a god, you say YES!"
"Crossing Delancy"

Actually, what I want is using the <BR>film scene to attract people go to <BR>New York. Just like "you've got mail" <BR>or somewhat, people can feel interested <BR>in NYC.

If you contact the New York City Chamber of Commerce they have many videos about Manhattan showing all (well, most) of its thousands of attractions. More descriptive that just some images from a movie. They also have pamplets and brochures. I believe you must purchase the videos but I'm not sure. Chambers of Commerce are usually the best way to go when trying to find information on a city or town.
