Mother's 60th Birthday
 

My mother's 60th birthday is in early November and the family would like to bring her on a long weekend somewhere (not too expensive). She lives in CT. Any ideas? There would be a total of 7 adults.

Mary, I think the phrase you might be searching for is "take her somewhere" and it's a lovely idea.<BR>How about telling us how far you're willing to travel, how much is "not too expensive?" (hotel price range, plane or bus or train or car travel and costs you're willing to spend) and, especially<BR>who are the 7 people (all adults? toddlers? teenagers?) and what you'd like to see or do (all gather in a resort? sightsee? Go to theater or concerts? You'll get more suggestions that way, but keep in mind that you may be limited by the short amount of time you have to plan this. Many hotels and resorts will already be booked, and if you were thinking of NYC for some popular shows, most are sold out months in advance
