Mother Daughter Vacation

My mom lives in PA and I live in DC - we are looking to go somewhere warm and relaxing end of March/early April for a long weekend - any good ideas?
Thanks!

Rachel, do you want to drive or fly? Long weekend? Thursday -Sunday or Friday-Sunday? Are you both going to start at the same spot or are you willing to meet somewhere? What would you like to do? Beach, hiking, gambling, shopping, visiting historic places?

I agree with incognito, it would be helpful to have some more details including budget and interests. The obvious answer is somewhere in Fla. but speciifics depend on budget and interests. Travelzool.com has good pkg. prices but it's probably a bit early for March.

You might also have a look on luxurylink.com. That might give you some ideas, even if you didn't want to bid on something.

My mother and I took a wonderful long weekend trip together to Bermuda. We have great memories from it.

Bermuda's a lovely idea but may not be as warm as you'd like. Good golf weather but probably not swimming weather at that time.

How about Savannah? The Westin Savannah Harbor Resort is beautiful and has a spa. Perfect after those walking tours.

Thanks for all the ideas! We are thinking beach - mostly just to relax. And yes a long weekend, Thursday to Sunday. We will fly anywhere - Thanks for the tips on luxurylinks and travelzoo!

My mom and I take a trip every year. (We both live in Chicago) Our trips have been to Savannah, New York City (a few times),the Orlando area and Rapid City, SD. Although we love NYC I would recommend Savannah or perhaps Charleston (our next trip) at that time of year.
