Mother-Daughter Hawaii Trip

I want to go to Hawaii in Dec. with my adult daughter and wanted suggestions for tour companies where a 25 year old and a 55 year old traveling together would feel comfortable . Want a moderately active vacation and sightseeing to include Big Island, Kauai, & Honolulu. Help! thanks

Are you looking for a packaged tour that includes the entire vacation - airfare, hotels, car(?), and sight-seeing on all three islands?

Or just to arrange tours and activities after you arrive each island?

Why do you need a tour company?

Get a guidebook and rent a car.

We did a Your Man tour once after my husband had had heart surgery. It was pretty good and did the four major islands.

You can see all of the islands on your own. If you want to take a tour on some of the islands they are also available.

Lots of info including sites with free brochures for all islands:

My mom and I go every year to either the Big Island or Oahu.

We have never used any travel agencies. I did a lot of research and rented a car and just went with flow.
My mom is in her fifties and I'm in my thirties and we always have a blast.

My suggestion would be to pack light, go with an open mind, and enjoy your surroundings. Hawaii is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. A vacation to Hawaii is not "pack things in", it's simply to decompress and reconnect to happiness.
So put on some sunscreen, get out the Spam and go for it!

Oh and by the way, mom and I were on Oahu when the "Pineapple Express" came through in the middle of our stay at the JW Marriott Ilihani. WE did not lose power but on our side of the island it was pretty bad and they even stopped the surfing competition.
Even with a power loss, inches of rain, closed roads, and long lines for gas it was still one of the best trips ever. Although the swap meet was rained out. Bummer. Just have to go back next year.
