Most romantic restaurant in Las Vegas
 

We are going to Las vegas for our anniversary and I would like to know what hotel restaurant would be the most romantic (please no fru-fru raw fish; lol). Thanks,

Wow. That scared me for a minute. I see we have a "new" Scarlett, not to be confused with the regular poster Scarlett.

Does the "no fru-fr" refer strictly to the faw fish, or do you not want a "fru-fru" restaurant? Do you have a price range in mind -- with wine or drinks?

La, Neo, strange that there is a "new Scarlett" but I have heard other boards get them too lol...and I thought I was one of a kind ~

I like Circo and Prime in the Bellagio. By fru fru raw fish, I guess you mean no sushi?
Just don't look for Japanese restaurants and you should be safe.

I'm Scarlett from Tennessee. Sorry I was not clear. I'm hoping to find a nice upscale restaurant for our anniversary dinner (wine or drinks etc. w/ a budget of approx. $200). We are staying at MGM Grand and having a private couples manicure and pedicure at Bellagio w/ champaign before dinner. We love steak........ no raw foods like sushi :o)) Any suggestions??

Circo and Prime remain my recommendations but not sure of prices.

In the Venetian is a lovely restaurant called Pinot Brasserie...that might be a bit less spendy than the Bellagio restaurants.

You should definetly try Prime. It is amazing. And since you'll already be at the Bellagio for your mani/pedi- it would be perfect!

Andre's Restaurant at Monte Carlo or his off-strip restaurant "Andre's" are THE BEST French restaurant in all of the state of Nevada.

They are also very romantic - especially the one in Monte Carlo.

The Eiffel Tower, without a doubt. Ask for a table on the windows with a view of the Bellagio fountains. Perfect!

(Delicious French food, obviously, with an incredibly extensive wine list.)

What would the price point be on this particular restaurant?

If your budget is more to the moderate side than expensive, you can try Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris Hotel. You can get a table with a view of the Bellagio fountains. But if you can afford the others mentioned, they will be more romantic.

Hi Scarlett from TN. My husband and I went to Vegas in December and hit quite a few restaurants (we left our 4-year-old with our parents, so we took advantage of that to do lots of nice dining).

Our best dinners (and we love meat, more specifically filet mignon) were these two. Here are the reviews I posted when we got back.

EIFFEL TOWER RESTAURANT in Paris Las Vegas hotel. The combination of the EXCELLENT food, the spectacular view and impeccable service makes this restaurant THE BEST on our list. You go up an elevator to the restaurant located about a third way up the Eiffel Tower replica. The elevators doors open onto the kitchen. Interesting, don't you think? I must say the kitchen looked very clean. The restaurant is very dark with mood lighting and big bay windows with fantastic views of Vegas. We were sitted at a table for 2 next to the bay windows with views of the Bellagio and its lake/fountain show. Simply lovely. The food was THE BEST we've had. No appetizers this time. I had the filet mignon in red wine sauce and potato gratin. Oh my goodness. It was DELICIEUX. My husband had the sauteed filet of salmon with mashed potatoes. Very good, he said.

For dessert, I had creme brulee and my husband had the chocolate souffle. HEAVEN. This is another restaurant with an extensive wine list and impeccable food presentation and service. Total cost of dinner came up to $190 (including a glass of wine, a bottled water, a coke and a 20% tip).

ANDRE'S FRENCH RESTAURANT at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. We had dinner there on our 2nd night. It's a VERY SMALL restaurant where reservations are essential. The food was really good there. We both started with a caesar salad, then had the filet of beef in green-peppercorn and cognac cream. The meat was EXCELLENT. We shared a chocolate dessert: a hazelnut fondant with praline and vanilla bean ice cream, and it was DECADENT. This is another restaurant with an extensive wine list. The total cost of our dinner $190 (including a glass of red wine, a bottled water and a 20% tip).

Our only complaint about this restaurant is that it gets really loud. It's in such a small place and it has wood paneling, so sound bounces off the walls. It didn't help that we were sitting next to a table of 8 very loud Brits. So much for the saying that they're reserved. We would have enjoyed our dinner a lot more if it hadn't been so noisy. So if you want excellent French food, go there. If you want romance, intimacy and a quiet dinner, you might want to go somewhere else.

Can I recommend another place for brunch if you're there on a weekend and like cajun/creole food. We LOVED this place. Here's that review:

COMMANDER'S PALACE in Desert Passage at Aladdin right across from the Bellagio. This restaurant serves Cajun/Creole food. We LOVED it and would highly recommend it. We went on a Saturday morning for the Jazz Brunch (offered Fridays through Sundays starting at 10:30am). You can do a la carte or do the brunch package which is $36/person. We chose the brunch package which was worth every penny! You must be a good eater because it's a lot of food.

For the appetizer, my husband had the gumbo du jour and I had the breakfast parfait (it was yogurt with fresh and dried fruits, all in a tall glass). The gumbo was DELICIOUS (I tasted it and wished I had ordered that!). My breakfast parfait was just okay (the dried fruits didn't do it for me). For the entree, we both chose the gulf shrimp creole served with Louisiana popcorn rice. It was SOOOO GOOD! My mouth is watering just thinking about it again. For dessert, I had the bread pudding souffle and my husband had the beignets. All YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY! We had to be rolled out of the restaurant!

The presentation of the food was impeccable and the staff were also impeccable at this place. The restaurant features 2 lovely gentlemen who'll go room to room (it's a big place) and play a few songs (dixie-style jazz). One played the banjo, the other played the clarinet and the saxophone and also sang. We LOVED it!!

Just returned from 2 trips at the Bellagio. I can also highly recommend Prime. It is just perfect...we ate here 2 nights in a row on both stays. Circo is excellent too, but go to the Bellagio's website and check the menu, if you are not used to that kind of food you may not like it. We always notice lots of people not knowing what to order - it's kinds funny. So I would take a look at the menu...it is not "italian american" food.

We also ate at the Eiffel Tower restaurnt, also an amazing meal. Don't be fooled, you cna order French, but there is a larger selection of "regular food" too. You can go on line and check the menu.

Prime is also a great place for celebrity spotting if you like that kind of stuff.

Regarding prices, well you know these restaurants are very expensive. We sat at the bar at the Eiffel Tower and had 2 glasses each of champagne (just whatever they had open behind the bar) and it came to $82.52. Our dinner was $450.00 with tip (not including the champagne at the bar,that was a seperate tab). Prime was more than that...I can only tell you the Eiffel Tower was our least expensive meal.

What about the Delmonico Steakhouse at the Venetian - one of Emeril's places?

Aureole at Mandalay Bay looks interesting, although I've not been there. Aureole is the place with the giant wine wall where they have a person go up and down in a harness to get the requested bottle. I know it doesn't sound very romantic, but the place looks better than it sounds! In my younger days, I would have loved that job!

That was for the Eiffel Tower Restaurant as I posted. The drinks at the bar were almost $85. We did have a mid priced bottle of wine with dinner, nothing crazy. That was for 2 people we both had app, salad and and entree and shared a souffle for dessert. Our bill at Circo was about the same maybe a little more but the big grand daddy of them all was Prime. We ate there 2 nights in a row and both nights the bill was over $650.00 not including drinks at the bar. My DH did order a bottle of wine both nights. But hey where can you go for dinner and see Regis Philbin, Tony Curtis, Dan RAther and the Oakland Raiders all at the same time in 1 room??

I just looked at our charges....our lunches at Olives were $125 to 150 every day. But I have to say they do make the best martini's :)

What do others spend for dinner at Prime or the Eiffel Tower? I am truly shocked at your $650 tab for two. I can't believe there are that many people willing to dish that out daily. (Plus hundred dollar lunches and $$$ drinks at the bar) Seriously, is that what others here are spending in Vegas for fine dining?

A typical dinner at Prime:

Steak per person $42-48
Shrimp Cocktail per person $18 (apps start at $12)
Salad per person $12
Side of Potatoes $11 or 12
Veggies $11 or 12
Dessert - $15 don't remember the $ exactly but the deserts are very small and cannot be shared. each one is hand made. The Creme Fraiche cheesecake is worth every and calorie.

Also keep in mind that this is a la carte so the potatoes and veggies are extra, they do not come with your meal. There is a charge for potatoes and another charge for veggies like mushrooms, spinach etc..Also the servings are not large, so we did not over order by any means. They are served in a small 1 cup size little pot and it is for 2.

This is not including tax, tip , coffee, bottled water or a drink or wine! A GLASS of champagne at Prime cost $25. I am not making up the prices, this is what is costs.

I also must add this is not outrageously priced as the price of a steak of equal quality in a fine steakhouse (Rothmann's) where I live is $65 for 1 person (that's just for the STEAK, not the meal). Where our bill is about the same as Prime.

Geeze If I go to my local Fairway Market a prime aged porterhouse is $60 and I have to cook it.

I am glad I asked about prices. How about Stratoshphere? I know it is older but it must at least have a wonderful view? How $$$ is the dinner there? I am seeking some moderately pricedeateries. (I don't want to hijack Scarlett' thread.)

These prices will make me want to stick to Mon Ami Gabi. Even with wine or drinks (one each, LOL), I think $65- to 75- ish for two is possible. Ditto with Il Fornaio in NY NY.
