I was flying from San Francisco to Vancouver on July 21 in coach. I was handed a Sharaz wine, shrimp salad in a glass bowl, filet mignon, peas and baked potatos. I was given a second wine when they picked up my tray. I had a cranberry tart for dessert. The food and service was excellent. I paid $126 for the one-way flight which included the food and drinks.

When will QANTAS start serving Florida?

Wally,
Your most memorable meal was airline food?

You need to get out more!

Julia's Kitchen at the Copia Center, Napa, CA when it first opened. The original chef is no longer there, alas.

My most "memorable" meals have always been the ones where not only the meal, but the timing and setting were perfect. We were in NYC and visited Ground Zero and were tired from walking about 10 miles and not dressed well, but a sweet little Italian man gestured to us to come in. Best pasta I've ever eaten. Fabulous wine. There were pictures from movie stars in the front. One of those true gems. Another time was in Gimmelwald Switzerland in the face of an incredible mountain with ice cold beer and a steamy fondue. A wow moment.
