Most beautiful university in Boston Metro?
We are planning our trip. Your opinion is appreciated.
Depending on time of year, Wellesley College, Boston College, Harvard and MIT on the Charles River side.
Wellesley's woman's college.forgot the name....gorgeous campus.
Wellesley's woman's college is called...Wellesley.
MIT's campus can be called many things, but beautiful is certainly not one of them. Harvard's "campus" is all spread out in pieces among city streets. I'll vote for Wellesley, too.
Sorry, Jen, but if one walks along the Cambridge side of the Charles where some of the Harvard and MIT buildings are, it is indeed a beautiful area...
Then you are walking along the Charles, not on the actual MIT or Harvard campus.
I visited Tufts once in October when the trees were at their peak and thought it was very pretty.
BC's quad area with Gasson Hall is very pretty.

But so is Harvard Yard.

Almost every college in Boston has picturesque areas and no one campus has a lock on beauty. The only campus that I think is lacking aestically is BU.
Dont forget Northeastern is just as ugly as BU.
No, Northeastern is worse than BU. At least we have the Charles River to look upon, and the campus has been upgraded with brick walks, granite plazas and gardens for years. Not nearly as ugly as it once was.
if you can make it that far out, the five college area is beautiful. northampton and amherst are both beautiful towns - northampton more festive and amherst more quaint.
