Most Beautiful Place You've Camped in the US

Planning a US road trip and looking for your picks for most scenic campground and/or campsite. My favorites so far have been Jenny Lake campground in Grand Teton National Park, the campground in Zion NP, and some of the BLM campsites in Moab, UT.

In Maine, we have enjoyed Searsport Shores in Searsport and Chewonky in Wiscassett. They are small, well-run campgrounds. Searsport is on the ocean with a special tents only area that feels secluded. Chewonky is on an old farm next to a tidal river.

Great Basin National Park in Nevada near Nevada/Utah Border. It's a vertical park and there are campsites at varying elevations. The vistas are amazing and the park is little used.

Probably Dinosaur National Monument, at the junction of the Green and Yampa rivers (it's a long drive down).

Beartooth Highway--Forest Lake National Forest Service campground--about 30 miles east of the NE entrance of Yellowstone.

Ridgeway SP, Colorado overlooking the Snuffles Range (mini Teton looking range)

Grand Tetons

Denali State Park--actually just a parking lot but it had a great view of Mt. McKinley--yes it was actually showing for quite a while.

Glacier National Park

The parking lot in Seward, Alaska--great view of the mountains and the bay. Camping spots are right on the water's edge.

Group camp site on the north rim of the Grand Canyon. We were so close to the edge someone could have walked off the edge if they went the wrong way to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Seward, Alaska town campground described above.

Pretty much anywhere in Colorado but two favorites are Wupperman, near Lake City, and Whitestar, near Leadville.

You might want to post this on rv.net, which also has a tent forum.
