Morristown NJ from Newark Airport

Does anyone have any relatively recent information on a good shuttle service to get from Newark Airport to Morristown, New Jersey?

If you look at the EWR website it lists the various shuttle services that go to specific areas in new jersey. This will work if you are visiting someone that will have a car. Morristown is a not an area you can get around without a car.

I'd certainly check NJ Transit to see if a train is an option.

Hi and thanks. Yes, I've checked NJ Transit, but for the time I am arriving I will have to wait longer than I want to. And I've checked the airport website, but I was hoping someone might recently have used one service or another and have a recommendation.

The train is not an option, unless you are willing to deal with less than ideal connections.

The NJ transit trains are on a completely different train line than trains to Morristown. Trains from the airport run through Newark Penn Station. Trains to Morristown are on the NJ Transit Morris & Essex line and run through the Newark Broad Street station, which would require a connection on the Newark Light Rail.

Easiest connection option by train is the Secausus transfer station. But, many trains leaving New York Penn Station during the rush hour do not stop at Secaucus on their way towards Morristown. (The Morristown station is on the Dover branch of the Morris & Essex line.)

Alternative is to take train into New York and catch the next Dover bound train. All NJ transit trains arrive and depart on one of thirteen tracks, which are close together.

I don't live all that far from Morristown. I've never found it to be a problem to just take a taxi instead of arranging transportation. If you don't want to use cash, they have a check voucher machine which lets you pay by credit card.

The train would definitely be complicated, but I've had no problems with just taking a cab.
