Morning Coffee
I am one of those people who can't seem to wake up in the morning until I have my first cup of coffee. Looking through the information I have found on-line, I see very few of the top hotels in Vegas that offer coffee makers in the room. One of my friends recently went to Vegas and stayed at a hotel with coffee makers listed on their site and found none there. I hate to think of having to get up and get dressed to go out and get coffee in the morning or wait for room service. Are there any really nice hotels that anyone knows of that offers coffee makers in the rooms?

Carol, I'm with you. Stayed at the Mirage recently - no coffeemaker. I think none of hotels keeps coffee makers in their rooms because it is much more profitable for them if you have to stand in a long line in the lobby to spend $3.00+ a cup for it each morning. And who knows, you might even drop a dollar or two into the slots while you are at it.

I always take my coil to heat water, a coffee cup and individual Maxwell House coffee bags. Not like fresh perked but enough to get me going until after my shower and a bit of relaxing before heading out the door for the "real" thing. I don't do this to be cheap but for my convenience.

I have a Black & Decker one-cup coffee maker (gold filter built in, no papers required) that makes splendid coffee (right into your cup, no glass pot) and is compact to pack with two nice plastic mugs. We like real milk or cream, so always try to book a room with a refrigerator or mini-bar for storing same. You can almost always get a small pitcher of milk or cream from the bartender.

Someone please tell X to shut up. Donna mentioned the city in her message. Leave her alone.

Melita makes a small compact coffee maker--all in a case--maybe size of large loaf of bread. Nothing like cup of fresh brewed coffee in AM. I even take my favorite Starbuck's blend from home.. <BR>Happy trails
