More lodging in Oregon for eclipse
Could find the previous thread about this so posting a new one.
http://www.oregonlive.com/travel/ind...ty_will_r.html Not inexpensive - guess it depends on how badly toy want to see it |
|
Thanks for posting that. I don't think it is too expensive, unless you opt for the higher end options. For two nights, it starts at $295, so not horrible, but yeah they are dorm rooms;) At least it is a cool town to explore as well.

And you get breakfast, dinner and some music and festival activities.

If someone wants to play golf during the eclipse make a tee time at the Elkhorn Golf Course north of Gates, OR.
http://www.elkhorngolf.com/ It is also near a great hiking trail in the Opal Creek Wilderness. Silver Falls State Park is in the path of totality. |
Tom--Yes, Opal Creek is a great hike, but it has definitely suffered from its popularity lately. Here is an article from the other day about limiting the people there, via parking. I am glad as one time we counted over 75 cars lining the trailhead road when we returned from our hike. Crazy! So this might not be a good one to recommend.

I'm probably crazy to start looking into this now, the options are extremely limited, but I see something on Airbnb in McMinnville that is reasonable. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
thank you! |
I just heard MT Bachelor Village Resort as a few openings. Don't know what they are charging.
