We're considering the Moorings Inn in Southwest Habor, Maine for one night of our trip in October, when we want to spend $90-100, as we've booked more expensive accommodations for the next two nights in Bar Harbor. Thank you for any insights you can offer.

September is a nice month, Moorings is okay but not great --restaurant there I would give one star, you can find a real nice b&b on ocean side in bar harbor for what you are paying for that room

Sorry I mean October and I know you can get shore path room for that price and be in bar harbor

Thanks, mainerokie. We decided against the Moorings Inn after noting that, because we would stay one night, we would have lost the entire one-night deposit if we had to cancel.
