moonshadows in LA Area??

Can anyone give me some information on a restaurant called Moonshadows in the LA area? Type of cuisine? Been there recently? Easy to drive to? Going to LA in a few weeks and I seem to recall reading about this one - don't remember what though...help!!

Great view at this Malibu restaurant. Right on the water. The food was good, but expensive. The service was not as impressive as the view.

Agree with xxx. It's in Malibu, so depending on where you are staying, it's a drive out there. It's more or less a steak house , salad bar place, with a great view.

It's a steak and seafood place. Great view.. somewhat dated in my opinion... very VERY pricy. <BR>I like Gladstones.. but not everyone does it's super crowded and also expensive, but a little more upbeat.. service also dicey.

I hear Moonshadows got new management recently? Would love to hear if anyone has been there inthe last few months.

Very good review in today's LA TIMES on the new improved Moonshadows. No longer surf 'n turf, it has a new "exciting" menu. Grilled snapper, herbed roasted chicken, excellent steaks. Same great view, new semi-SE Asian chaises on the deck. Entrees from 17.98 to 35+ (lobster). S. Irene , the reviewer, really enjoyed it.
