Goulding's is clean, fine, NOTHING in that area is spectacular, nothing resort-like, pretty much basics and the food is nothing anywhere. Goulding's is historic, it's the original where all the movie stars and staff stayed, it was the only place there for many years. We always stay there because it is the closest to MV and the people they bring in to pick you up for the tours, are fine. Do not know anything about Simpson's unless they are the ones that pick up Goulding's customers. You will be fine, Calif.

Easy there, calif. I think what richbutnot was trying to say was you can type in "Kayenta" on the Search this Forum square and get all kinds of info. We're all trying to help you.

I just read some Tony Hillerman books, bought "Southwest USA" by Greg Ward, got in the car and went. A great adventure.

Goulding's is always booked because the tour bus operators snatch up all the rooms. We stayed in Blanding, Utah, about 70 miles north. We didn't mind the long drive because the scenery en route is nothing short of spectacular.
