Monterey Whale Watching - Recommend any specific company?

I will be in Monterey in a couple of weeks. I've done quite a bit of research re September whale watching, and feel comfortable that we have a good chance of seeing some whales. With that said, does anyone recommend any particular whale watch company or are they all about the same in terms of the experience? (I have seen slight price variations.)

Thanks in advance,

Chels

Thanks for the wishes - I guess I will wing it with whichever tour company seems the most convenient.

Best,

One of my best vacation memories EVER was kayaking in the bay with sea otters. One actually slipped up on the bow of my kayak. An amazing experience.

We went one March, and loved every second of it. Captain and crew were excellent. http://www.montereybaywhalewatch.com/

Thanks for the replies - Bayougal, this was one of the companies we were considering.

Kayaking sounds like a plan - I will certainly look into that.

Thanks again,

The kayaking was an absolute BLAST! One of my favorite memories ever. Right in the bay. Calm water. Watching the sea otters play and float around us. A very zen-like experience. Not "adventure" travel - but like being in the midst of a National Geographic special. We were at a conference and I took along some my friends' teens. A decade later, when we've crossed paths again, they rave about the kayak trip - and, of course, the mer-men at the Hearst Castle pool :-)
