Monterey/Salinas Airbus
 

I'm planning my mini trip to Monterey but I'm debating whether to fly directly into Monterey or take the Monterey/Salinas Airbus into Monterey. <BR>Anyone use Monterey/Salinas Airbus? Experience...good or bad? Does anyone know how long it takes to get to Monterey? Do they drop off at hotels? I know...20 questions! :) Thanks!

Which airport would you be taking the Airbus from? Assuming that you will be flying into San Jose, it takes 1 hr. 45 min. to Monterey. The bus stops at the Monterey Transit Plaza, not at individual hotels. The following link has more information on the Airbus.<BR><BR>http://www.montereyairbus.com/

I'd be flying into San Jose Airport. So it takes almost 2 hours? I was checking fares to Monterey and they are currently at $250 rt though that may change. I'll probably pay the extra $$ (unless the price gets ridiculously high) to fly directly in Monterey. I'm only spending 3 days there so I don't want to spend most of the day on an airbus. <BR>Is there a Supershuttle or door to door shuttle service at Monterey Airport?

mt_xx,<BR><BR>I just checked the Monterey Airport website, and the only options for ground transportation are taxi or the bus (Monterey/Salinas Transit). It does not look like there are any airport shuttles operating out of the Monterey Airport.
