Monterey Aquarium Cruise

First of all thank you all so much for your knowledge and humor. I've had so much fun planning my trip to Big Sur (Treebones!) and Monterey, which starts Sept 4 (my birthday!!!).

Lots of exclamation points is just my way of giving you all a big smile.

Anyhoo, my question is about Monterey Aquarium - has anyone taken the "Science Under Sail" cruise? I am interested but DH wants to make sure it's (1)not too dull and (2)not too preachy (as in, "This creature used to flourish but has been decimated by all of you who ate a fish dinner last night at one of our local restaurants..."). We both love science and the ocean, but being trapped in a boat for 3 hours with the wrong vibe could give us that sinking feeling. (sorry)

Also, it is a *3 hour tour*. That's right, a *3 hour tour*. So you will perhaps understand my extra caution. ;-)

Thanks!

Wow! I haven't heard of this cruise and now I am dying to hear about it....from someone!

There's a lot about it on their website,

http://www.montereyaquarium.com

Go to "What's New & Events" and click on "Cruise News." Especially neat is the trip log in the middle of the page (easy to miss).

If anyone knows more, we're waiting with baited breath.

:-)) I'm assuming you spelled "baited breath" that way on purpose...

If the skipper starts talking to his little buddy, I'd find something different to do. :-)

From reading the log on the Science Under Sail website, I doubt that it is dull or preachy.
