Montauk

Any suggestions on B&B's to stay in at Montauk? Three stars or better? We are going there Oct 26th-29th.

I don't think Montauk has many or any B&B's. It's more a house/hotel place.

Check out Montauk Manor.

Montauk isn't known for "b & b's", that's more the Hamptons. In Montauk you find mostly motel type accomodations-several of which have been turned into condo apts, some more upscale than others. The Panoramic View I think is now the nicest but closed for the season. The Surf Club looks like a good option. http://www.duneresorts.com/pageSiteT....asp?SITEID=SC

If you really want a b & b, you might consider staying in East Hampton instead where there are quite a few.

PS Montauk Manor is a dump and I wouldn't send my worst enemy there.

Really? That's a shame -- such a beautiful, historic building.

I've never stayed there, but I've visited and it looks great. Have you seen a room or something?

There is one B&B that I know of in Montauk called the Sunrise Guest House. Right across the street from the ocean and about a 10 minute walk to town. I have never stayed there, but I usually stay next door. The place looks very nice from the outside. I was in Montauk last weekend. Have fun! Montauk is beautiful.
