MOMA - website down?

I can't connect to www.moma.org for the last day or two. Anybody know what's up?

Also please advise your opinion : - should we buy tickets in advance if we want to visit MOMA on Easter Sunday morning April 8th?

I just connected by clicking on your link. Sounds like it's a problem with your browser.

I've never bought tickets in advance, so hard to answer your question.

Ditto

Yes - there are a lot of extra people in midtown that day (easter parade in front of St Pat's gets a lot of attention) - so I would definitely get advance tickets,

autodidact, I almost posted that same comment a couple days ago when I was linking to all the CityPass sites.
I just clicked on your link, and I get nothing except after a while that "The server at www.moma.org is taking too long to respond." It's odd, because I've clicked on dozens of links and typed in dozens of addresses with no problems.
So if your server is having a problem, so is mine.
By the way, I've tried it through IE as well as Firefox and get the same thing.

Actually on IE I get this message:
>>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>>
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.
>>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>

Surely you and I aren't the only two people to be having this problem.

another option for MOMA is to go free on Friday nights!

Thanks for the replies. I decided to buy tickets on line even (Ticketweb)though there was a $16.75 service fee on top of 4 tickets at $20 each. Culture is not cheap.

It's only from my workplace that I'm having difficulty with their website. At home I can connect. Maybe some corporate firewall or proxy server issue.

Interesting. MOMA remains the only website I can't seem to connect to -- it still times out every time, yet yesterday I probably connected to at least 50 other websites, including most of the other New York museum ones. I can't imagine what kind of "firewall" or anything else would specifically block that website but no others -- I certainly have no such "corporate" ones.

NeoPatrick, what part of the world are you connecting from? I'm in Dublin.

NeoPatrick Mar 29th, 2007 05:27 PM

I'm in Florida. So bizarre. No, www.moma.com still times out. I can't find another website anywhere that I can't connect to. Why in the world am I blocked from that one? I don't remember doing anything there to deserve such treatment!
