At this time I don't think Moline has too much flooding, but that may change this week. I would think it best to call your hotel prior to your trip to see what the flooding situation is.

Frankly, I think you need to pay the price of a simple phone call and ask the people WHO ARE THERE.

Hi sobolik,
Welcome to moline, I live here, and yes some of our area is flooded but not where you want to be. Your family will be fine the mississippi and the rock river have crested and by the time you come should have gone back down.Moline is doing much better then her sister city davenport, iowa. But you can still get around there also just some of the streets by the river are closed.
The same here we have one or two streets by the river closed.
Hope you have a good time here.

I have lots of family in Moline. We have been discussing the flooding a lot since we have plans for a family reunion in Iowa. I wrote and asked them what they thought about the places that you are going.

My cousin emailed: if you want to add that what he has planned will be okay as these locations are all far enough from the waters to not be affected.

Thanks for the info, you are a better source than the often dramatized news.

Thanks for the info, I live more or less at the other end of the Rock River - the beginning. I could have put the question in a bottle and thrown it in the river with hope that someone from Moline retrieve it. But I think Fodor’s is more effective. See ya in a few days.
