Mohonk Mtn House - any tips??
 

I'm staying at Mohonk Mountain House (nr New Paltz, NY) this weekend. What fun activities are there to do around there? <BR><BR>I've been there several times, but never stayed overnight there...and am very familiar with the hiking trails at MMH and Minnewaska, the historical sites and shopping in New Paltz, and of course shopping at Woodbury Commons. But what else is there? And specifically, what types of activites does the resort have for guests?

Hi Suzanne - I can help a bit, I was there this past May. The resort offers guided hikes (which I found very interesting), row boats (unless it is a seasonal activity), horseback riding (for an extra charge, don't know how much), there is a small exercise room and exercise classes, and I believe they offer spa services. Check out their web site; it probably has more details.

I just love the city of New Paltz. I can't remember the names, but there are nice pubs and antique stores.

There are some wineries nearby too.
