Moderately priced hotels in Anchorage

Hi there, we will be visiting Anchorage at the end of June and will be staying for 3 nights. We are looking for a clean and comfortable room with a nice pool / outlook. ( If possible )
Look forward to your replies

Donna, what's moderately priced to you? $150 or $300?

We are prepared to pay between $150 and $200 Australian dollars. Hope you can help with some ideas.

Donna,
That's going to be tough. It might be worth considering a B&B.

See what you can find at the Holiday Inn Express. Haven't stayed stayed in an Anchorage hotel since the night my wife, dog, jeep and I arrived in the winter of '84, but it has received some decent reviews elsewhere.

It's not downtown but the location isn't too bad, nice walks to Lake Hood, the busy floatplane base.

Most of the nice places downtown will be from $230-300 AUD at best.

As someone who was lucky enough to spent a month in Australia when the AUD was at .53, I feel your pain. I'm glad for you it's doing better.

Best of luck and have a great trip.
