Moab to Jackson Hole in two days

In late September we're driving from Moab, Utah to Jackson Hole, Wyoming leaving on a Friday morning and need to arrive by late afternoon on Saturday. We would love a suggestion on where to break up the drive and stay on Friday night. One obvious choice is Salt Lake City but were wondering if anyone had other ideas?

Thanks,
Bruce

What about avoiding Salt Lake City and going via Vernal, Utah and make a quick stop at Dinosuar National Monument, then travel up though Flaming Gorge National Recreational ARea. You coud stay in Vernal, Utah, Green River, WY or Rock Springs, WY.

Thanks Utahtea, that's certainly something to consider. I've never heard of either of those parks. Their websites look really interesting.

Best,
Bruce

I agree with Utahtea's suggestion. Another option might be to stop in Park City. During that time, the aspens should be in their full shimmering golden glory.
