Moab hotel recomendation
 

What are some good hotels in Moab and what location is best

Holiday Inn Express is very close to the entrance to Arches. It is a new hotel with indoor pool. Hotel is brand new, excellent. About 1.5 miles to downtown Moab.

In Sep 2001, we stayed at a new hotel called the Castlerock Inn. For some reason, I have not been able to find it on-line. At that time, it was less than $70, nicely furnished, and quite roomy. Right in the town of Moab and close to Arches. I would stay there again if it is still so reasonable.

Last month we stayed in the heart of Moab at the Best Western Canyonlands Inn. It has a great location, right in the midde of all the shops and restaurants.

The room was spacious, very clean and they had a good free con'l bfst bar. The outdoor pool looked nice too altho we didn't have time to use it. We would definitely stay there again.

I stayed at the BW Canyonlands about 3 weeks ago. We had a group of five, and it was the only place that could accomodate all of us in one room. It was conveniently located, as well. Staff were young, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine, as was the pool. The room was nice, though nothing exceptional. I'll stay there again.

Last month we stayed at the Aarchway Inn, which is on the north side of Moab. But Moab is not a large town, so it's not like it's far away from the shops "downtown". And it's a bit closer to Arches NP, which is north of Moab. Not by much, though, so I don't think location is paramount in a place like Moab.

The rooms at the Aarchway were large, and clean. There was a nice complimentary breakfast. We would recommend this motel.

The Quality Suites at the south end of town is real nice. Microwave and Fridge in the room, indoor pool and hot tub, guest laundry, nice breakfast. It's on the opposite end of town as the parks, but the town is small and there is very little traffic.

I've stayed in many hotels in Moab and there are many nice places to stay, but my favorite is The Gonzo Inn. The rooms are eclectic and the location is great - there is a small stream close by and it has a nice outdoor pool. Some rooms have fireplaces and small kitchenettes.

If you like a B&B, I highly recommend the Dreamkeeper Inn. Very small, cosy, charming. Very nice pool & hot tub, big shady yard. Owners are very nice and serve gourmet breakfasts. They have a web site.

Here's another recommendation for the Best Western Canyonlands. Smack dab in the middle of Moab, my family stayed in one of the suite rooms. Very comfortable! This is the nicest Best Western we have ever stayed at.
The breakfast was great, the hotel is kept very clean, the staff was pleasant, helpful & polite, the location is convenient. What more could you ask for?
We would definitely return to the BW Canyonlands.
