MIT college trip: need restaurant guidance

My husband & son will be going to spend some time at MIT in Boston soon, any advice about where to eat neart the college?

First of, MIT is in Cambridge, on the other side of the Charles River, from Boston. Legal's Seafood used to a favorite of ours. Haven't been there in years but many friends still enjoy it.

In Inman Square, on Cambridge St. is the East Coast Grill. Be there early to find a seat, no reservations unless you are a party of five or more. Barbecue, great seafood, fun atmosphere young and old alike enjoy Chris Scheslinger's food, with a tropical flare.

East Coast Grill is a great suggestion. When you visit Harvard Square stop by Mr&MrsBartley's for a killer burger, onion rings and lime rickey!!!

I triple-suggest East Coast Grill. Ick on Bartley's, but I guess that's just a matter of taste. Wouldn't go there myself. Thinking of what a teenager thinking about college would like, I'd head to Harvard Square and go to John Harvard's. It's a large bar and grill place frequented by the Harvard/MIT crowd and tends to be a place that parents and the college kids can go and both can be happy.

I live close to MIT.
There is "salts", the miricle of Science"
"The Central Kitchen" upstairs is "The Enormous room."

"The Middle East" for Lebaneese food.
"Cuchi-Cuchi" and "La Groceria," Toscanni's ice cream.
These are all by MIT.
If you want Harvard Square I can give you that list.
