Mission Inn Resort & Club feedback?

My husband has a corporate board meeting in January at Mission Inn. Am wondering if anyone has stayed here or visited the facility. I know the weather will be cool that time of year, but just wondering if we would extend our trip here beyond the few days or not? As always, thanks for your input!

I have not stayed there but have had dinner there. It is a beautiful place and you will enjoy it very much, BTW, the dinner was very good!

You might want to stay an extra few days or you can use it as a base to visit other nearby attractions (e.g. Mt. Dora).

I can tell you that the Mission Inn in Riverside CA is a lovely, unique hotel and spa that I love to stay at! Several celebrities married or stayed here, including Sarah Bernhardt, Ronald Regan, Jack Lemmon and others. LOL! I hope that you like your Mission Inn is as much as I love this one!

Mission Inn is not too far from Orlando, and the quaint town of Mt. Dora. Also, the Maitland/Winter Park where I live is fabulous with upscale restaurants, shopping and museums. It really is a lovely area. Right down the street from the Mission Inn is a fabulous German Bakery - Yahala....YUMMM!! They also serve sandwiches and on weekends have some music in their outside area. Be aware, the main street to the Mission Inn is known as quite the speed trap!

Thanks so much to all of you for the great tips for the surrounding area as well! Tripadvisor seems to say the rooms themselves are just adequate, but for a paid vacation away to a nice area, I am in!

This article just appeared in today's Orlando Sentinel <http://tinyurl.com/yzx4st>. It has some great ideas for Dora Canal nature tours. In fact, they look like something I would like to do myself!

Orlando Vic-Thanks for the great article! Sounds like a great experience! Seems Mission Inn is not too well known as a destination on this board, but glad to know of so many things to do nearby.

Just back from Mission Inn and wanted to thank everyone for their reports. Our room at Mission Inn was spacious and had nice amenities in the room. I would not recommend this facility for anyone with issues walking as it is very spread out-there was no elevator that I know of in our building and we were to take our luggage up the stairs ourselves. Food was very good for our conference and the golfers enjoyed the beautiful courses. Everything was pretty far away-Mt. Dora, Orlando, Winter Park. Always nice to get away, though, and see another part of the country!
