Minneapolis Easter brunch
Anyone know of a good place for Easter brunch? Good food, not too formal. Thanks!

Well, if you'd like a buffet, I'd suggest Jax Cafe (Northeast Mpls) and Nancy's Landing (Waconia). Nancy's Landing is a bit of a drive but we really enjoyed it. Both are fairly casual and have good food- I'd say Nancy's Landing has better food. I've also heard that the brunch at Nicollet Island Inn (downtown Mpls) is very good although I have never been.
For a non-buffet brunch, we like WA Frost in St Paul. It's a little fancier than the Jax or NL's but good food. You could do something entirely different and try Chino Latino in Uptown- it has a Latin/Asian brunch with small plates. Or dim-sum is always fun too. Jane |
We visit Mpls. often and I like the Nicollett Island Inn and also the St Paul Hotel. I am sure locals have lots more ideas too.

I agree with the recommendations above, and normally anything in Minneapolis would be much preferable over most of our "suburban" restaurants. However in Lakeville (south of Minneapolis) there is a place called the Charthouse (not part of the Charthouse chain, this is privately owned) that has great Holiday meals. I have had Easter brunch and Thanksgiving dinner there several times and it was wonderful.

In the northwest suburb of Plymouth, there is a very nice brunch at the Radisson Hotel & Conference Center on Campus Drive. Make reservations.

Thanks for your help! I'll be checking out the suggestions and making our reservations for myself and my 2 college kids.
