Santiago Calatrava - Milwaukee Art Museum - mam.org/info/details/calatrava.php This is a must and hopefully you will see them open and close the wings.
The Harley Museum and of course the Lakefront Brewery tour. The old Third Ward is a fun place to just walk around and visit the shops and restaraunts -- visit the Milwaukee Public MARKET. Milwaukee River Walk Places to eat: Lake Park Bistro - might be a little pricey Mader's Restaurant Milwaukee Chop House Edelweiss Boats - Milwaukee River Cruise Line Bacchus, A Bartolotta Restaurant Elsa's on the Park Botanas Mexican food Milwaukee Ale House Mo's Irish Pub and the list goes on -- you will not be disappointed in Milwaukee -- it has lots of great restaraunts. The water front -- Bradford beach is near by -- the water my might be a little bit cool The ferry ride I would only take if you plan on going over to Michigan or getting from Michigan to Milwaukee - it is a great way of avoiding the Chicago traffic. Check the festival schedule -- Milwaukee has some of the best festivals in the world - and they are constantly changing from week to week - and the music is top notch -- located at the Summerfest grounds - Downtown. Enjoy |
Wow, Thanks for all the info.
I leave tomorrow for the wedding and am looking forward to some fun sightseeing, good food and a beautiful couple getting married! Cheers, MK |
The Botanical Garden is beautiful but it is not on the waterfront. Maybe if it rains but I am thinking that you are going to have a beautiful weekend weatherwise.
I agree on the ferry ride. It takes about 3 hours each way. If I remember correctly, the schedule does not allow for you to go there and come back immediately. |
