Millennium Park Garage in Chicago
Where is the pedestrian exit for the Millennium Garage that is under Millennium Park? We've figured out the vehicle entrance from the directions on their website and used Google Earth to view it, but was wondering where we'd walk out after we park.
Our hotel is Comfort Suites at 320 North Michigan Avenue and we're wondering if it'd be reasonable to park there and carry our luggage the 3 blocks or so to the hotel... but if the pedestrian exit is on the same side as the vehicle entrance, I'm thinking it would be much further than 3 blocks. Hope this makes sense! thanks!! |
There are three pedestrian exits to the garage. Two are on Monroe between Michigan Avenue and Columbus Drive. The closest to the Comfort Suites is on Randolph and exits near the Harris Theatre.

Thanks, citylights! Just what I needed to know!
Does anyone see any flaws in this logic we might be missing? ...We're going to be in Chicago for about 30 hours. We're thinking of parking in the Millennium Garage for the first 24 hours (for $24) and when we check out of our hotel and take our luggage to the car, exiting the parking garage and driving around the block, then going back into the garage for the next 6 hours or so ($14). They don't prorate the second day, so we thought we could do it with a simple drive around the block. We'd be saving $22 this way, compared to parking in the garage near our hotel. Any reasons why that wouldn't work? thanks! |
It sounds reasonable, but what day are you planning to do this? If it's on a weekend, you may want to check some of the other garages in the loop which tend to have lower rates on Sat and Sunday.

We'll be in Chicago next Wednesday and Thursday, but thanks for the heads-up in case we were traveling on the weekend!
