Microtel Inns

Has anyone stayed at one of these? I'm assuming that they're all pretty much the same. Looks like a "no frills" kinda place, but that's ok for us on this trip-we'll only be staying 3 days.

I stayed at one last year in Connecticut. It was basic but clean and safe. They had a decent continental breakfast with coffee and juice in the morning. I think they had coffee and something else to drink out 24 hours.

Hockeymom summed up my experience at one in the Columbus SC vicinity. The one I stayed in was roomy, clean, nothing fancy. I think you could find better for your money -- unless of course you've already looked and that's the best you can find.

My experience has been mixed. In Madison, Wisconsin it was similar to what hockeymom and Tandoori Girl describe. The one in Collinsville, Iinois was in poor repair and ill managed.

Thanks for the quick responses. Specifically, we would be staying at the one in Allentown, PA.
