Miami to Orlando?
I will be flying into either Miami or Fort Lauderdale, going on a cruise over New Years and then was thinking of driving to Orlando, hitting Disney for about four days and then flying home out of Orlando. I need to know if you can rent a car from the port in Miami and is it an easy drive from Miami to Disneyworld? Any suggestions on a different itinerary would be welcome. I will be travelling with my husband and two daughters ages 11 and 17 who are happy doing anything. Cheers! |
Call and ask your cruiseline or travel agent. Miami to Disneyworld is an easy drive.

Here's a link to some ancient news (2002) on rental car agencies at the port:

Are you a AAA member ? You can order a trip map or maps in general on their website...

The drive from Miami to Orlando is quite easy, about 3 1/2 - 4 hours. We do this all the time when we visit Florida. Take the Florida Turnpike straight up. Or, you can take 95 if you don't want to pay tolls, then the Bee-Line to Orlando (which is a toll road).
