Miami to Key West- Where to have lunch?

My husband and I will be flying into Miami on thursday, and then driving to Key West to spend a couple of days. Our flight gets in around 1:00. Where should we stop for lunch? We'll be spending a few days at South Beach on the way back, so prefer not there, but thought maybe try Joe's Stone Crab, as hear lunch is more available and less $$$. Or does anyone have a recommendation for a place to stop between the two cities? Thanks!

Gail-Are you driving down to the Keys from Miami right away? When we go down to KW we stop at the Islamorada Fish Company for dinner. Also, Manny & Isa's and Coral Grill are good.

Gail-Make that lunch. LOL! Anyway, the Islamaroda Fish Company has great grouper if you like grouper and an outdoor patio deck overlooking the water to put you in the Keys frame of mind!

Hi Gail... in Key Largo there's a number of great restaurants. For a view, try Bayside Grill behind Cafe Largo and the Honda dealership around MM 99; also, on the oceanside there's a good restaurant called Calypso with a water view (boat marina); Also, The Quay bar/grill on the bay is a good spot. Lots to pick from.. Enjoy! (We leave this Thursday for a long weekend in Key Largo... can't wait!)

Try the Hungry Tarpon. It's a little place just off the highway.
