Miami/South Beach Restaurant Recommendations
My husband and I will be there for a long weekend in March. What are your favorites? (Price range not important.)
|
My favorite restaurant in South Beach is Escopazzo (sp?) on Washington Ave. It's very small, 10 or 12 tables, Italian of course, excellent service and outstanding food! Expensive and worth every penny. Enjoy.

Farfalla and The Strand on Washington Ave and 7th are great...as is "5:30" on 5th and Ocean.."Casa Salsa" is good, and "Mango's" is great also. You'll love it here!
|
Try Joe's Stone Crab Restaurant. It's pretty expensive and make sure to get there before 5:00 pm or be prepared to wait 2 hours or more. But the food was great.

For a quick bite, the Cafe News was good and quick.- right on Ocean Drive
|
Try Grillfish on Collins Ave for seafood.

For great Cuban you have to go to Puerto Sagua. It's cheap and absolutely delicious.
|
People have given you GREAT suggestions so far. My very favorite meal was at Yuca. If you want to e-mail me directly I can give you more info on what to do when you're there. Clubs, hotels, etc. Have a great time!

You must go to China Grill. It's on Washington Avenue. The restaurant is beautiful and the Asian fusion cuisine just as good (large portions, too.)

Oprah Winfrey said it's her favorite Miami restaurant.

1. Larios on Ocean drive, South Beach.
owned by Gloria Estafan, cuban food and you can sit outside and watch the parade of humanity: beautiful, strange and profane.
2. News Cafe: 24 hrs a day with the above.
3. chinese food usually stinks in florida but not at Tony Chan's Water Club.
4. I personally don't get Joe's. very 60's food although it is very well prepared. Very expensive for what it is I think.
5. Pacific Time on Lincoln Road Mall is very chic and excellent.
6. Do drinks at the Delano if you can cop the right attitude (ultra hip)
