Miami-South Beach
 

Hello! I was thnking about doing a last minute trip to Miami/South Beach. ' going with best friend, he is coming to the east coast (from HI) so we thought we'd go hang out for a long weekend. Just need to get away a blow off some steam.
Looking for a hotels & resturants right in the "thick" of things. Is the nightlife obvious or are there specific places you may reccomend?

What is the "average" budget in South Beach in February? $500 a day for hotel?

yeah..money is not the determining factor, location, fun, convenience, etc.... anyone have suggestions?

Hi again. yeah I found out last week about the food festival...but decieded to go anyway.
Is the Hotel Astor totally horrible? The reviews here were very bad.
