miami resorts

I am going to Miami at the end of March with my 19 year old niece. Can anyone suggest a great resort? We are interested in a place with spa treatments and good food nearby. Thanks.

If price is no object, the Shore Club and the Delano in South Beach have spa services, good food inside (well, Nobu at the Shore Club) and nearby and that Ian Schrager vibe that you just don't get at a Best Western. Rack rates are quite high, and probably don't include spa time.

Other places with on-site spas include the Trump International Sonesta and the Doral Golf Resort, as well as, of all places, the Howard Johnson Plaza Dezerland Beach (!). How much do you want to spend? That is a good stepping-off point....

Shore Club or the new Ritz-Carlton. Haven't stayed at the RC but my sister raves about the hotel.

Eden Roc has a great spa and a nice restaurant and bar right on the beach.

Thanks for the suggestions. We are looking to indulge ourselves since it is only for a couple of days.

In that range I would choose the Ritz Carlton as it is still close to the Delano for some hanging out. Our experience at the Delano was awful. Really cheap shoddy rooms and the bar outside pumping loud music until 2:00 AM. All this for the bargain price of $595 a night.

kangamom, would you please do a trip report on your bad experience and post as a separate thread? I think it would be helpful to a lot of people.

Also, I would write a letter to the General Manager and CC the Director of Operations for that hotel group.
