Miami for a day

We are traveling to Cuba and fly first to Miami and have an afternoon and evening to see South Beach. We are staying at an airport hotel so we'll just take a taxi to the area. Please suggest an area to walk in, have dinner somewhere that is not too fancy, and any other spots to see before we head back to our hotel for the evening then fly out the next am. Prefer seafood for dinner. TKS!!

The place to see and been seen in Miami, this pedestrianized strip crosses the heart of Miami Beach and is lined with some of the Miami area's best restaurants, bars and shops – lots and lots of shops.

Nice quote Peter. I see it is cut and pasted verbatim from Trip Advisor.

That strip would be Lincoln road. Another cute street is Espinola way. Walking areas closer to the airport are Miracle mile in Coral Gables enjoy.

I love eating at Havana 1957 on Espanola Way.

Lincoln Road Mall is great for people watching, dining and shopping.

There is also excellent shopping on Washington.

Espanola Way has another of my favorite restaurants Tap Tap.

Ocean Drive is fantastic for having drinks and people watching but do not eat there unless you eat at News Café or Front Porch otherwise they will rip you off.

My favorite restaurant is still Yardbird.

For sushi I like Sushi Samba or Nobu.

My favorite dive bar is Club Deuce.

Upscale drinks: Still mojitos at The Delano Pool Bar, Skybar at the Shore Club, SLS Hotel, and rooftop of The Hotel.

Hope this helps.
