Miami Beach hotel in January
 

Looking for suggestions since it has been a while since I've been there. We have a getaway planned for 1/5/-1/8. The atmosphere may be quieter that time of year, but still don't want to be in the middle of all night partying as middle aged boomers. Would a hotel in the middle of Collins be too loud (say 1900 block) or should we go further out to the 3000 and 4000 block? Is that too far away from the atmosphere and restaurants? I don't recall if the blocks are long or short.

We like the Kimpton Surfcomber and Royal Palm South Beach at the 1500 to 1700 block of Collins...they are right on the beach and a short walk from Ocean Drive and the Art Deco strip... also right near the Shopping and on the beach trail and both have great pools....

So both those places are safe places to stay?

Not only are they safe, they are right on the Beach and best shopping... this is not a seedy area...
