MGM hotel & casino

Can anyone tell me the good, the bad and the ugly about this hotel. May be staying there end of April.

It's got a great amusement park for kids; a big plus if you have any that you need to keep occupied.

The hotel complex itself is huge; I mean REALLY BIG! I found it slightly overwhelming, myself.

I stayed there about a year ago and plan on going again in November. I would recommend the MGM. When I stayed the service was excellent and my wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. Try to get a room with a view. We had a beautiful view when we stayed.

Stayed there once. Good service, huge casino-but I found may way around. Get a room in the Grand Towers instead of Emerald Towers-alot nicer & bigger. Since the remodelling they have gotten away from the Wizard of Oz theme-now its The City of Entertainment. Good restaurnts, didnt win much but had a good time. The theme park is nothing geat.

I agree with Diane...Don't stay in the Emerald Tower if at all possible. Rooms were average, nothing to write home about and we had a view of the airconditioning unit. We were on our first anniversary and I found the place to be too BIG. I swear we had to walk 2 miles to get to our room. I booked my room at the MGM 6 months in advance and asked for a non-smoking room and didn't get it. They didn't really seem to care either. That was one mark for them at the outset. I found it to be overwelming. We're staying at the Rio this time. Heard good things about it. Hopefully it will be a better 2nd anniversary.
