Mexican food in Baltimore
I moved to Baltimore in November, kicking and screaming all the way, from Atlanta. Still can't get used to having to put on a coat, gloves, scarf and hat every time I leave the house. The weather is just ONE of the MANY things I am having a hard time adjusting to.
Another thing is the lack of authentic Mexican restaurants in my area. I would appreciate any suggestions as to where we might partake of some good and fresh Mexican food. We would even be willing to drive toward D.C.! Thanks- Vicki |
If you find yourself in DC...you have to eat at Rosa Mexicano (Downtown) and Lauriel Plaza (Dupont Circle)...well worth the drive on both!
I have never eaten here, but there is a place I have seen called the Babalu Grill...cuban food, may have Mexican. Check out their website! 8-) |
Blue Agave in Federal Hill is a wonderful upscale Mexican restaurant that won't disappoint. Great innovative menu and cozy and sophisticated spot. Enjoy.

El Toro Bravo in historic Annapolis will be worth the trip. The food is great and walking the old town of Annapolis will burn some of your calories.

I can't second Blue Agave enough! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G food, drinks and desserts. My husband and I have even taken a couple of cooking classes with the chef through Cook's Table and he is a super nice guy.

My wife and I ate at the Blue Agave in Federal Hill last night and it was very good. We began with three tasty salsas for chips. For the main course, my wife has twin burritos (one of which she had to have wrapped due to its enormity) and I had a dish of stewed lamb with tortillas. We both liked our food very much. The Blue Agave is a little more expensive than most Mexican restaurants I've eaten at but it was well worth it. Selection is more varied at El Toro Bravo in Annapolis, our usual Mexican digs.
