Metropolitan Opera House Balcony Box 5 seats

How are the Balcony Box 5 seat at Metropolitan Opera House, the first row, seats 1-4? I know that this is a partial view but I was wondering if it would be a unique way to see the performance with teen girls. The price is less than half of the reg. balcony seats but if they are really bad seats, I will not get them. Just wondering if it would be a unique experience to sit in box seats. My girls are dancers themselves so I was thinking they may appreciate being closer.

I wouldn't get the balcony box seats.. they are truly partial view and you will be craning your neck to see.

if the seats in the balcony are too expensive, see about the first few rows of the family circle

if you are looking at tickets for the ABT final week, there are seats in the rear side orchestra for $49 per seat on the met.opera website... I sat there last year and it was fine . although you are in the rear its closer than the balcony which is pretty high up..for ballet I prefer to be closer for opera I sit in the balcony... however, the orchestra seats are not as raked as higher up, so there is always a concern if someone in front of you is too tall for you to see around if you are not tall, or a child. the ushers can bring you a cushion if you need to place on your seat.
