Messed up on performance day for LION KING
 

o.k, don't be too hard on me, this was a HUGE mistake made by my brother. We had tickets to LION KING and he misread the date... thus we missed the show by two weeks..... he claims that theatre mgmt. understood [and stated this happened before] that the date of ISSUE for these tickets confused him because that date was much, much larger than the performance date. Supposedly he was told they would honor the tickets, although we'd be seated in the aisle.....<BR><BR>Here's the question.... is my brother duping me? He's yet to provide us me with a date.... <BR><BR>also, has this happened to anyone else..... and what were your results....<BR><BR>please go easy on me.... some folks out there are so mean [at this site] and this is already a very painful $700.00 mistake...<BR><BR>You know what they say, you can be your friends, but you can't pick your family.. <BR><BR>Thanks for your replies.....

I'm not really clear on the problem? What was the date printed on the tickets or printed on the confirmation you recieved (if you did will-call)?<BR><BR>What would your brother gain by missing the performance and showing up 2 weeks late???<BR><BR>Please clarify. Thanks!

We had the tickets a year in advance.... thus when he read the ticket [from ticketmaster] the ticket purchase date was one year and 2 weeks difference.... obviously he wasn't paying attention to the year. <BR><BR>does that make better sense?<BR>

I'd be very surprised if the theater honored and/or replaced the tickets.<BR>I'm most skeptical about your brother's comment that you'd be seated in the aisle. I'm not sure what he means by that. There are no seats in the aisles, and it would be against the fire laws to put chairs there.

When they say aisle they probably mean standing room, which means either they'll find 2 empty seats and put you there or you'll have to stand in the back of the theater with the ushers the whole performance if it's completely sold out.

Annie,<BR><BR>It sounds like YOU need to get the tickets from your brother and call the theatre directly yourself. YOU make the arrangements (if any can be made) and get the date yourself!
