Message locations

I've posted messages when I'm on the Hawaii forum and they never end up there, always on the general US forum. What am I doing wrong?

You aren't doing anything wrong. All messages appear in the general US forum when posted on the US board. Even though you chose Hawaii, none of the US states actually have their own forum. A little confusing I suppose but that is the way the forum works. If you would like find any of your posts, just click on your screen name and any threads you posted or replied to will pop up.

Hawaii IS part of the USA..
Even if you click on Hawaii it still only somes up on US forum....

As above, there is no Hawaii forum, all posts show up on the United States board. Same for Europe, no Italy, all topics go to the Europe board.

That is why most people include a specific location reference in the title of their post.

This is especially confusing because on a different question a poster is directing Princess that she should "post on the Hawaii" forum.

No wonder she's confused!

Thanks all! I do know that if one types in, say, Maui, then posts that pertain to Maui will show up, or even if it is mentioned as say, a favorite destination, that post will show up. Also, I do know that if I click on my name all of my posts will show up. That is really a timesaver and I like that feature on this forum.

Another tip:
The search feature on Fodor's is almost completely USELESS! If you want to find all posts mentioning Maui, for example, it's better to go to Google, click Advanced Search, and type in your search words and fodors.com as the domain. Much more accurate. It will return all hits and you can check the website name to see if it's from the forum or general guide, click from there.
