Mendocino Lodging

We're trying to decide between Albion River Inn and Little River Inn for a vacation for 5 days next June for 3 couples. We want to be as close to the ocean as possible in lovely rooms in the $250-275 range. Any one know something about these 2 inns that could help us decide.

Both are really can't go wrong. We like Albion because we like it QUIET, and the Little River Inn is much larger, like 60 rooms compared to 20. If you like a little more activity and buzz however, LRI has a tavern, golf course, bike trails etc. The cottages and balcony rooms at LRI have great ocean views. Some of the rooms just have "ocean breezes", no view.

I would probably choose Albion if the price was lower, and spend the extra money on an expensive dinner at the Little River Inn.
